Snowfall

by G. Jack Urso

flaked cold bits of absence

no two alike

melting into tears

when on my skin they alight

 blades of warmth

set with the sun

whose rays have fade

into colors and run

when passion has froze

gathered into fears

its nature transposed

frozen into tears

you think i would know

i've questioned the years

and seen the white snow
